A bit about me
Sam Barney-Gibbs
I've lived and breathed journalism since age 14, helping my high school newspaper develop strong institutions for fact-checking, community engagement, and combatting mis- and disinformation. I soon became an award-winning journalist and leader for my college multimedia news organization.
This “ethical butterfly” and “headline czar,” as I've been lovingly called for my incessant lessons on journalistic ethics and ability to masterfully conjure headlines, graduated summa cum laude from Lehigh University, having studied journalism across mediums, international politics, political theory, and philosophy.
My professional and further academic passions lie in bridging the gap between complicated, messy politics and the people it directly affects - in addition to combatting the worsening crisis of global danger for journalists. I will do my part to reestablish confidence in political news media by being a name, face, and voice from which all people can trust to get their news.
